Bidhusi 2(Empowerment through Education)

With the financial support of Books for Change, Kumudini implemented a project titled Bidhusi 2, in which the main components were setting up and operation of a library at the Emergency Receiving Facility (ERF). A reading club and conducting non formal education classes in the ERF were part of the project. The project aimed to help children, particularly girl children, access books for their overall development such that they enhance their knowledge and improve reading habits.  Reading is also expected to help them get different perspectives in life such that can make right choices.

Books for Change also supported five girls to continue their education at a formal school. Similarly, some funding was made available to repair the walls and gate to ensure safety and security at the ERF.
